Product Disclosure Statement

Last Updated: 15/03/2026

This Product Disclosure Statement applies to all products supplied by Climby through www.climby.com.au and our resellers. It provides important information regarding the characteristics, limitations, and appropriate use of products manufactured using additive manufacturing (3D printing) processes.

By purchasing or using our products, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Statement.

Product Variations
Due to our continuous improvement methodology, our products may vary slightly from the photos on this site and our marketing material. We aim to keep all photos as up to date as possible. If you have any questions please email contact@climby.com.au before purchase.

Nature of Additive Manufacturing
Our products are manufactured using 3D printing technologies. Due to the nature of this manufacturing process, products may exhibit characteristics including but not limited to:

  • visible layer lines or surface texture

  • minor dimensional variations

  • small cosmetic imperfections

  • slight colour variations between batches

These characteristics are inherent to the manufacturing process and do not constitute defects.

Material Characteristics – PETG
Our products are manufactured primarily using PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) filament.
PETG is a durable thermoplastic commonly used in consumer and industrial applications due to its:

  • good impact resistance

  • moderate flexibility

  • chemical resistance

  • improved temperature resistance compared with PLA

However, PETG also has limitations including:

  • possible deformation under high heat

  • sensitivity to prolonged UV exposure

  • potential surface scratching or cosmetic wear over time

Material properties such as colour may also vary slightly between different batches.

Environmental and Temperature Limitations
PETG offers improved heat resistance compared with some other consumer 3D printing materials; however, it still has temperature limitations.

Typical PETG properties include:

  • softening temperature approximately 70–85°C

  • potential deformation if exposed to sustained high heat

  • possible degradation with long-term UV exposure

  • expansion or contraction due to temperature changes

Products should not be exposed to:

  • open flame

  • prolonged temperatures approaching or exceeding PETG softening temperatures

  • aggressive chemicals or solvents unless known to be compatible

  • UV for extended periods of time.

Modifications and Alterations
Any modification, drilling, machining, heating, or structural alteration of our products may compromise their performance or safety.
Climby accepts no responsibility for products that have been modified after supply.

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Climby excludes all liability for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from:

  • misuse of the product

  • use outside the intended purpose

  • improper installation

  • modification or alteration of the product

  • reliance on the product for safety critical applications

Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our liability is limited (at our option) to:

  • replacement of the product, or

  • refund of the purchase price.

Intended Use
Unless expressly stated otherwise, products supplied by Climby are intended for strength training purposes only, and are to be used in controlled training environments. Products are to be inspected by the user before each use. If the product shows any signs of damage it should not be used. Common sense must be used when assessing the product and load applied. All of our products must be used with proper loading technique (gradual loading).

Users much gradually apply load to products by:

  • Slowly taking up the slack/apply hanging weight.

  • Gradually increasing tension until the full load is supported.

  • Avoiding jerking, dropping, or rapidly loading the product.

This is to protect the user from injury and the product from damage. People under the age of 16 must be supervised while using our products.

Installation
Modular Hangboards must be screwed into solid studs, or suitably mounted solid timber. The provided screws are to be used, and tightened until they are snug and firm. Do not overtighten the screws. Incorrect installation, including mounting directly on plasterboard/drywall may result in damage and or injury.

Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Product Information
Customers should review all product descriptions, dimensions, and material information on the relevant product page before purchase.
